Principado Downtown

It was a last-minute booking, and we arrived very late at night from the airport. They made the check-in as fast as possible to allow us to rest and relax. The breakfast is very good with sweets and salty options, eggs and sausages, cakes, toasties, cereals, juice, coffee... They also have a laundry service that collects and delivers the clothes on the same day. The small workout studio has everything you need to exercise and move during your stay. Although our room was facing the street, it was quiet. They have good amenities in the bathroom and a very comfy bed. We left our bags in the reception on our check-out day to explore the city.

We stayed here only one night before heading to the airport. We arrived very late on a Saturday night and upon request the reception allowed us to have late checkout without charge. They also kept our bags while we were out exploring. The room was really big with a separate seating area with sofa and desk. There was also a small balcony. The breakfast was ok. They have coffee, hot water for tea and still water always available for guests in the breakfast area.

Friendly staff, easy check-in. I enjoyed the comfortable lounge off the lobby, where it was nice to sit with a book. Plaza San Martin, a block away, is a pleasant place to walk and very pretty. The neighborhood felt safe, and there were plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

The location was good. Close to a bustling pedestrian mall and near to the Ferry terminal for our early ferry to Montevideo. The elevator dropped is right off in front of our room but surprisingly we did not hear it or people getting on an off during the night.
